Loft Insulation

Many houses in Ireland have either no insulation in the attic or are inadequately insulated.

A €250 grant is now available under the Home Energy Savings Scheme towards the cost of attic insulation. Even if you have existing attic insulation you can avail of the grant to top up this insulation to the level required under the Home Energy Savings Scheme.

Our unique SEI ID Number is 10574.

The current building regulations specify 12 inches of insulation in the loft space to meet a U-value of 0.16

If you don’t have adequate loft insulation in your home, up to 25% of your heat is escaping through the roof.

Loft insulation will help you save energy, money and the environment, keeping your house warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

At TKA, we insulate with rolls or blown insulation.

This picture shows an example of an attic done with fibre rolls.

Blown Rockwool Attic Insulation (RockPrime) is today’s solution to meet the  thermal regulations for the both new build and existing loft spaces. Installation is quicker than laying conventional roll insulation and creates minimum disturbance. RockPrime will not react with any metal components in the attic or will it cause loss of plasticiser from uPVC cables and pipes.

You can contact our office for a datasheet.

It is an extremely durable material and when installed will remain as effective for the life of the building. All our products are free from gases that are harmful to the environment such as CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs and any gases that would have Global Warming Potential. RockPrime can also significantly improve the sound insulation of a building.
